Cubs outfielder Alfonso Soriano will have arthroscopic knee surgery later this month, FOXSports.com has learned. Soriano has not been 100% for some time, and his injury will create more opportunities for Jake Fox in left field.
Soriano has been hitting .261 since the All-Star break, 30 points better than before the break. However, he is hit .185 in August with just 1 home run. Soriano's numbers have quickly declined since joining the Cubs, in average, on-base percentage, and home runs. If Soriano cannot have some comeback, he could quickly become a goat in Chicago.
