The Phillies and Danys Baez have completed a two year deal worth 5.25 million dollars, according to CBSSports.com.
The two sides completed a deal in late December, but it took several days for Baez to take a physical, possibly because of the holidays.
Baez posted a 4.02 ERA after missing all of 2008, appearing in 59 games.
Baez will give the Phillies another reliable arm in the back of the bullpen, possibly as insurance if Brad Lidge cannot find his form.
