MLB.com is reporting that the Nationals are still interested in free agent second baseman Orlando Hudson. MLB.com goes on to say that while they are interested, they are not going to "break the bank" on a deal.
Hudson hit .283 last season with 9 home runs in 149 games for the Dodgers. The Dodgers were strapped for cash this offseason and could not afford to keep him, leaving him open to sign elsewhere.
The Nationals are the team most interested in his services, with the Braves and Mets as possible landing spots as well. The Cubs also had some interest, but will only sign him at a bargain rate.
