Royals make pitcher Zack Greinke available

The Royals intend to listen to "any and all offers" for ace Zack Greinke, according to ESPN.com. Greinke went 10-14 with a 4.17 ERA and a 181 strikeouts over 33 starts. Greinke went 16-8 with a 2.16 ERA in 2009 and would draw considerable interest on the open market, being the best available pitcher besides free agent Cliff Lee.

Greinke would be an unstoppable pitcher if he was given a little run support. A move to the NL would put him right to the top of the league with a caliber pitchers of pitchers that include Roy Halladay, Tim Lincecum, and several other pitchers on the rise.

Teams like the Cubs, Brewers, Braves, and Nationals could be interest and afford the two years, 27 million dollars remaining on his salary. In the AL,  the Yankees, Angels, Rays, Blue Jays, among others could try to deal this offseason.

The Royals picked a great offseason to try and move their ace. They could land a huge haul for the future if they play it right.
