Red Sox Interview Curt Young For Open Pitching Coach Position

According to ESPN Boston and WEEI, the Red Sox have reportedly interviewed former Athletics pitching coach Curt Young.

Young, 50, turned down a 1-year offer by the club to return as the pitching coach next season.  Young spent 27 years with the A's as a player and a coach.

In his time in Oakland, Young worked with and developed the likes of Barry Zito, Mark Mulder, Dan Haren, and Tim Hudson and developed young All-Stars such as Trevor Cahill and Andrew Bailey

The team has also looked into their minor league system and interviews are "ongoing" according to sources close to the team.
