- MacPhail would like to see free agents Ty Wigginton, Koji Uehara, and Cesar Isturis return to the team in 2011. However he wouldn't mind if other free agents like Mark Hendrickson and Corey Patterson signed with other teams.
- Even though he isn't impressed with the free agent class this season, MacPail is very impressed with the first base market. With Victor Martinez, Aubrey Huff, Adam LaRoche, Derrek Lee, Paul Konerko, Adam Dunn, Carlos Pena, and Lance Berkman all on the free agent market. The Orioles will likely look into the free agents that aren't type A, which include Pena, Berkman, Huff, and LaRoche.
- With the exeption of Cliff Lee, the pitching market looks fairly slim. MacPhail may look to the trade market for pitching help as he did last season when the team acquired Kevin Millwood from the Rangers.
