According to the Baltimore Sun, the Orioles have Mark Connor as their new pitching coach, replacing Rick Kranitz who was hired earlier this week as a minor league pitching coach for the Astros. Connor has over 35 years of coaching experience.
Connor, 61, was most recently with the Texas Rangers as he served as the teams pitching coach in 2006 and 2008. Connor is very much familiar with manager Buck Showalter as the two were together with the Yankees, Diamondbacks, and Rangers when Showalter was the manager of all three teams.
