Tigers, Braves remain interested in Johnny Damon

Multiple sources have informed FOX SPORTS that free agent Johnny Damon is still drawing interest from the Braves and Tigers

Thus far, the Braves have taken a more passive approach than the Tigers. They would be happy to sign Damon if he "falls into their lap," one source said Friday, but are unlikely to offer him a lucrative deal.

Both teams fit the criteria that Damon is looking for. Both teams have spring training facilities near his Orlando home and play the majority of their games in the eastern time zone.

Damon, 36, hit .282 with a career high 24 home runs with a .365 on-base percentage in 143 games with the Yankees. The Reds are a possibility to sign him as well.
