The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that the Giants are shopping infielder Kevin Frandsen. Frandsen has had success at the Triple-A level, hitting .295 with a .352 on-base percentage, but it has failed to transform at the major league level.
The 27-year old infielder is hitting .229 this spring, and is a .240 career hitter in 408 career at-bats.
Frandsen has one minor league option left so it is possible the Giants could return him to Triple-A; however, if he can prove to be a valuable part of the bench, he could find a job elsewhere.
