The Twins and pitcher Nick Blackburn have agreed to a four year extension worth 14 million dollars, according to SI.com. The deal includes a club option for 8 million dollars.
Blackburn put up virtually the same numbers from 2008-2009, going 22-22 with a 4.04 ERA in 66 starts. Blackburn is proving to be a true workhorse, making him a great number three starter down the road.
Blackburn was taken by the Twins in the 29th round of the 2001 draft.
