Seattle Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley is off to a rocky start in Seattle which has lead to a close door meeting with manager Don Wakamatsu.
Last Friday, Bradley flipped off heckling fans at Rangers Stadium in the middle of the fourth inning. Bradley was "remorseful" over the incident, agreeing that he has put too much pressure on himself early on this season.
It's trying to get him to understand he doesn't need to carry this club and put all that pressure on himself. There are going to be people looking for him and I understand that, but lead by example.
This incident came a week after Bradley shattered his bat over his leg after striking out in the Athletics opener.
The self-proclaimed bad boy of baseball was booed by Oakland fans all night, but Bradley was not alone in the taunting. The 31-year old journeyman reportedly was blowing kisses at A's fans near the stands after chasing a fall ball.
"If I was a musician, I'd be Kanye West. If I was in the NBA, I'd be Ron Artest," he said. "In baseball, they've got Milton Bradley. I'm that guy. You need people like me, so you can point your finger and go, 'There goes the bad guy.'"
The three year, 30 million dollar deal given to him by Cubs GM Jim Hendry is the worst signing during his tenure with the Cubs. Period.
