The Royals have agreed to trade pitcher Carlos Rosa to the Diamondbacks in exchange for shortstop Reynaldo Navarro. It is a pretty low-key deal, but it is very possible Rosa could be used by the Diamondbacks at some point this season.
Rosa is expected to join the Triple-A affiliate after posting a 3.65 ERA in 12 1/3 innings. The former top prospect still has some potential and the Dbacks hope he can salvage it in a new environment.
Navarro, 20, is only hitting .241 in Single-A this season but has very raw skills and could develop into a solid all around infielder. At 5-10, 175 pounds, he will need to be able to show that he can get on base and generate some runs.
