Red Sox eye Chris Iannetta?

The Red Sox are looking for options behind the plate next season, sending a clear message to everyone that Victor Martinez is not the answer behind the plate. Fortunately, the Red Sox can shuffle Martinez, Kevin Youkilis, and Adrian Beltre in three spots, but that only takes time away from the surging David Ortiz and Mike Lowell.

2011 is still a distant thought. However, with the Rockies patience in Iannetta wearing thin, it is possible he could be moved. He is currently hitting .362 with 5 home runs and 21 RBIs after hitting a disappointing .133 in 8 games.

Iannetta is certainly an option to rebound for the 2010 season. The Rockies have remained high on Iannetta despite his .239 career average, but the 27 year old still has some tools that keep scouts coming around.
