Former pitcher Jose Lima ha died at the age of 37, according to his former team the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lima, who last appeared in the majors in 2006, pitched for the Tigers, Astros, Royals, Dodgers, and Mets over the course of 13 professional seasons.
Referring to his often colorful outings as "Lima Time," Lima posted his best season in 1999 when he was selected to the All-Star game. He went 21-10 in 35 starts with a 3.58 ERA for the NL Central champion Astros.
Lima owns a career 5.26 ERA.
