MLB.com's Jordan Bastian is reporting that the Blue Jays will designate Dana Eveland for assignment. Eveland has only compiled a total 9.1 innings of work in his last three starts, surrendering 17 earned runs and seeing his ERA balloon from 3.82 on May 6th to 6.45 on May 22nd.
Eveland has been in three trades over his career, spending time in Milwaukee, Arizona, Oakland, and now Toronto. Eveland's best year came in 2008 when he posted a 9-9 record and a 4.34 ERA in 29 starts.
The 26-year old will certainly be given another shot on another team.
