Brewers starting pitcher Chris Capuano has an clause in his contract that gives him the right to become a free agent if he is not called up by Saturday. The 31-year old is on his way back from Tommy John surgery, but has looked very strong thus far in his minor league appearances.
Capuano owns a 3-1 record with a 1.77 ERA in six minor league starts, including a 2.14 ERA in his past three Triple-A starts. Capuano, who hasn't pitched in the majors since 2007, posted a career high 18 wins in 2005 and would greatly benefit the Brewers if he could come back strong and establish himself in the rotation.
