The Boston Globe is reporting that the Red Sox will be without Dustin Pedroia for the next six weeks as he recovers from a broken foot. He has already been placed on the disabled list and Bill Hall and Angel Sanchez are expected to take a the majority of the playing time.
Pedroia was hitting .292 with 12 home runs with a .370 on-base percentage in 73 games. The Red Sox are three games back, and will probably stay within the organization for replacements.
If the Red Sox look for someone outside the organization, who should they target?
