Both the Twins and Cardinals are showing interest in Astros pitcher Roy Oswalt, according to the Houston Chronicle. Oswalt is 6-11 with a 3.12 ERA and 117 strike outs to just 33 walks, pretty solid totals for a guy pitching for a fifth place team.

Oswalt reportedly prefers to join the Cardinals over anyone else, which makes sense considering his addition would make the Cardinals a formidable opponent in the National League.
He would give the Twins a similar boost in the AL Central, but when it is all said and done the decision rests with Oswalt, who has a full no-trade clause.
Early indications suggest that the Cardinals are not scared off by the idea of exercising his option for the 2012 season, something that Oswalt says needs to be included to get a deal done. Both teams have the prospects to fit the Astros, so it looks like it may only be a matter of time before a deal gets done.
