Mariners Milton Bradley out for season

Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley will have arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season. Bradley hasn't made an appearance since July 26th, and is only hitting .205 with 8 home runs this season.

Bradley was also placed on the restricted list earlier this season to help him better control his emotions. His troubled history in the league seems to follow him wherever he goes. Maybe his extra time on the disabled list will help him sort out those issues, as well as prepare for a strong 2011, which will be a contract year for him.

The last time Bradley entered a contract year, he hit .321 with a .436 on-base percentage and 22 home runs in 121 games with the Rangers. Since then, he has only hit .231 with 20 home runs in 197 games over two seasons.
