Red Sox, Rangers interested in Brad Hawpe

The Rockies released outfielder Brad Hawpe after hitting .255 with 7 home runs this season, but that hasn't stopped other teams from calling on the slugger. In case you forgot, Hawpe put together four straight 20 homer seasons coming into 2010, so he can hit for power.

The Red Sox, Rangers, and White Sox are all believed to have some interest in Hawpe, who can be signed for the league minimum cause the Rockies are on the hook for his remaining 2010 salary.

The Rangers are particularly intruiging because former Rockies manager Clint Hurdle is the teams current hitting coach. Could Hawpe become a reserve outfielder in Texas for the rest of the 2010 season.
