The Dodgers placed outfielders Jay Gibbons, Scott Podsednik, and infielder Casey Blake on waivers today. Pretty much throwing in the towel now. The team acquired Ted Lilly and Ryan Theriot at the deadline in hopes of making a playoff run but now that is clearly out of reach. Blake and Podsednik should draw interest from teams around the league but Gibbons is likely out of a job.
