Reds close to deal with manager Dusty Baker

The Reds are close to resigning manager Dusty Baker to a multi-year contract extension, according to the Dayton Daily News. Baker, who has been with the Reds since 2008, is seeing another one of his teams make a postseason run. He has done it with the Giants, Cubs, and now the Reds, but has yet to win a World Series title.

"They’re close, just a matter of dotting I’s and crossing T’s and Dusty will be back managing the Reds next year."

This makes things a lot easier for the Reds in moving forward this offseason. They do not have too many personnel moves to make so it will mostly be filling in holes to improve this already strong Reds ballclub.
