Nationals agree to terms with Jerry Hairston

MLB.com's Bill Ladson is reporting that the Nationals have agreed to terms with infielder Jerry Hairston Jr. The deal is worth 2 million dollars over one year with one million dollars in incentives.

Hairston hit .244 with 10 home runs this past season with the Padres, but is a career .257 hitter and will pull out the occasionally high average.

Overall, I'd say this is a pretty good deal for the Nationals. It is a buy low option with limited downside in the end.
