- The Chicago White Sox signed free agent catcher Jared Price to a minor league deal, according to the International League transactions page. Price will be assigned to the class Triple-A Charlotte Knights. Price, 29, only played in 47 games in 2011 with the White Sox's Triple-A affiliate.
- The Cincinnati Reds signed free agent catcher Corky Miller to a minor league deal, according to the International League transactions page. Miller, a fan-favorite in Cincinnati because of his fantastic facial hair (as pictured above), will be assigned to the Reds' Class Triple-A affiliate, the Louisville Bats.
- Left fielder Matt Young agreed to a minor league pact with the Toledo Mud Hens, the Class Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, according to the International League transactions page. Young reached the majors in 2011, but only hit .208/.269/.229 in 52 plate appearances for the Braves.
