"The Houston Astros continued being active in the minor league free agent market Sunday, by signing left-handed hitting second baseman Joe Thurston to a minor league contract. St.Louis Cardinals Name Mike Matheny Manager for 2012 Season - MLB Daily Dish
"Matheny, a former MLB catcher who also played with the Cardinals, has no managing experience in the majors or minors, or even any coaching anywhere.
