  • Carrie Muskat says that the new Chicago Cubs general manager Theo Epstein and troubled starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano had lunch today.
  • Paul Hoynes says that Scott Boras will be meeting with the Cleveland Indians this week, and they should be talking about Carlos Pena.
  • Marc Carig says that New York Yankees outfielder Andruw Jones underwent a small knee procedure today, and that Jones wants to sign with the Yankees again for next season.
  • Nick Cafardo says that Boras said earlier today that J.D. Drew would be interested in playing this season in the right situation. It has been widely speculated that he will retire after his contract with the Boston Red Sox expired.
