Starting Pitching Rumors: Freddy Garcia, C.J. Wilson, Mark Buehrle, Hiroki Kuroda

Let's round up the latest rumors in regards to free agent starting pitchers around the league...

  • The New York Yankees intend to follow up on preliminary talks with Freddy Garcia's agent, according to Marc Carig of the Star-Ledger. The Yankees are still looking for starting pitching and are keeping all options open.
  • Can you imagine a starting rotation consisting of Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson, Dan Haren and Ervin Santana one-through-four? Angels GM Jerry Dipoto can;  the Angels have "serious" interest in free-agent southpaw C.J. Wilson, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times. Dipoto will meet with Wilson's agent tonight in Milwaukee, where the winter meetings are taking place this week.
  • Now with Aaron Hill signed, the Arizona Diamondbacks' will turn to acquiring starting pitching. The club is interested in free agents Hiroki Kuroda and Mark Buehrle, according to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic, but we'll have to wait and see if the years and dollars fit into Arizona's plans.
