- Left-handed reliever Phil Dumatrait has re-signed with the Minnesota Twins, according to Sosnick Cobbe Sports. Dumatrait posted a 3.92 ERA in 41.1 innings of work.
- The Washington Nationals outrighted outfielder Corey Brown to Class Triple-A Syracuse, the club announced. Brown, a former first round pick, reached the majors for the first time last season with the Nationals - he went 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts.
- The Toronto Blue Jays claimed right-handed pitcher Cole Kimball off waivers from the Nationals, the club announced. The 26-year-old posted a 1.93 ERA in 14 innings of work with 11 strikeouts and 11 walks.
- Per Matt Eddy of Baseball America, the Octagon Baseball agency reports that their client center fielder Gregor Blanco signed with the San Francisco Giants. Blanco hit .201/.350/.327 in 252 plate appearances last season in the minors.
- In a later tweet, Eddy also reports the Arizona Diamondbacks signed third baseman/second baseman Rusty Ryal after a year in Japan. Ryal spent parts of 2009 and 2010 with the D'Backs organization.
- The Houston Astros outrighted Carlos Corporan to Class Triple-A Oklahoma City, writes Zachary Levine. Corporan may elect free agency or accept the outright assignment.
