Some rumors from the western divisions of Major League Baseball this early afternoon.
- Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle has some interesting things to say about the Oakland Athletics. First, Andrew Bailey is more available than Gio Gonzalez. Then, the A's are going to use the Dan Haren trade as a reference for the Gonzalez trade, if/when they choose to trade him.
- MLB.com's Joe Frisaro says that the Miami Marlins are expressing a strong interest in Gonzalez, as we know that they are on the hunt for left handed pitching. Now it comes down to if they trade or sign a free agent.
- Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star Telegram says that Darren Oliver would like to remain with the Texas Rangers if at all he can.
- Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times has a big column on the Anaheim Angels, saying that the Halos have expressed interest in Yoenis Cespedes. He also said that the Angels could make a push for free agent closer Ryan Madson.
