MLB Holiday Review: What You Might Have Missed

Welcome back! Hopefully your holiday weekend was spent over-indulging in many foods, beverages, football games, and family/in-laws time (just enough to remind you that you're thankful this is only a once or twice-a-year thing, I mean).

While you were gone, we still had some action. The big item for the morning will be what's going down in Houston, which is still developing. We'll lead off with that and then follow up with everything else you might have missed:

• Astros GM Ed Wade Dismissed; Major Changes to be Announced Monday - MLB Daily Dish
  Ken Rosenthal is reporting via twitter that Houston Astros General Manager Ed Wade's dismissal will be announced Monday, among other major changes for the team. Also rumored via Rosenthal is the dismissal/resignation of Tal Smith, the Astros' President of baseball operations. The status of clubhouse manager Brad Mills is still unknown.
• Seattle Mariners Acquire John Jaso - MLB Daily Dish
  According to a tweet from the Seattle Mariners Twitter account, the Mariners have acquired catcher John Jaso from the Tampa Bay Rays. In return, right handed pitcher Josh Leuke will be heading to St. Petersberg, along with a player to be named later or cash considerations.
• Miami Marlins To Wine And Dine C.J. Wilson On Monday - MLB Daily Dish
  The Miami Marlins have already tried wooing free agents Jose Reyes, Albert Pujols, and Mark Buehrle, so why not bring in a guy who many consider the best pitching free agent on the market?

• Toronto Blue Jays Acquire Luis Valbuena - MLB Daily Dish
  According to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports, the Toronto Blue Jays have acquired infielder Luis Valbuena from the Cleveland Indians.
