Detroit's efforts seem to be shrinking -- they're reportedly no longer pursuing Buehrle, they're not sure what do do about the leadoff spot (Crisp being mentioned), they're kinda-sorta interested in Aramis Ramirez, but there's nothing there, either. But hey, Octavio Dotel might be willing to come back!
Then there's this latest tweet from Joel Sherman, floating a potential Daniel Murphy/Andy Dirks trade:

"#Tigers #Bluejays #Padres have called #Mets on Murphy. Mets like Tigers Andy Dirks as potential CF alternative to Pagan." -

#Tigers aren't pursuing Buehrle now, more likely to sign or trade for a No. 5 starter type. -
Twitter / @DKnobler
"Tigers would like to get a leadoff guy, but still not sure Crisp is right guy. Not many other options"

Aramis Ramirez Rumors: Phillies, Angels, Tigers - MLB Daily Dish
"Tigers could make a play on A. Ramirez, but so far there's nothing happening." -
Dotel reportedly confirms interest from Tigers " Beck's Blog
"Enrique Rojas of ESPNDeportes talked with reliever Octavio Dotel, who confirmed interest from the Tigers, as well as the Cardinals, Brewers and Mets. Dotel apparently told Rojas he’s interested in returning to the Cards, whom he said have offered him a one-year contract. He would like a two-year offer."
