Indians Rumors, Notes: Willingham, Rondon, Sizemore, Cabrera

Sounds like rumors of Cleveland Indians' interest in Josh Willingham were a bit exaggerated, or they're trying to walk it back a bit. In other news, Cleveland has had a rather quiet off-season:

  • Willingham, Blake, and Pray for Better Players - Let's Go Tribe
The storyline of Cleveland's offseason remains unchanged—with a veteran starter (Derek Lowe) in hand, the Indians are most interested in adding a right-handed bat that can provide a little pop and play either left field or first base.
  • Twitter / @hoynsie - "#Indians interest in OF Josh Willingham said to be "moderate' at best."
  • Indians Quiet On The Willingham Front - CBS Cleveland
"Last season in Oakland Willingham made $6 million with a one-year deal, but after his season one would expect him to demand a lot more on the open market. Tuesday his agent, Matt Sosnick, confirmed that while he has spoken to the Indians, no contract offer to his client has been made."
