The Orioles and designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero have agreed to a one-year deal worth 8 million dollars, according to ESPN.com. The deal includes incentives and is pending a physical.
Guerrero, 35, hit .300 with 29 home runs and 115 RBIs last season with the Texas Rangers. He has a .320 career batting average with 436 home runs and 1,433 RBIs and received the 2004 AL MVP Award.
He is the latest addition in a slew of signings this offseason for the Orioles, who will have a very different club than next season.
