According to Anthony Andro of the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Josh Hamilton inches closer to a return as the reigning MVP looks to clear his final hurdles before getting back on the field. Andro says Hamilton will travel with the Rangers and then get re-evaluated before going on a rehab-assignment. Here's a few more of today's news:

- Nothing's official, but Kevin Wilson of Camden's Professional Baseball Development Company tweets that Pedro Feliz might be joining the Camden Riversharks of the Independent League
- Lastly, Ian Stewart has again been optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs, according to the Rockies official twitter feed. This marks the second time over the last month he's made the trip. The move was made following Ty Wigginton's stint on the DL.
