R.A. Dickey Is On Twitter and It Is Glorious

New, 3 comments

When a guy's Twitter bio reads like this:

Father, Husband, Christian, Pitcher, Author, Adventurer, Star Wars Nerd, Reader, Ninja in Training & Cyclist

You know you've got something good. When that person is also a knuckleball pitcher for the New York Mets? Even better.

Dickey's first tweet was only five days ago, but he already has 925 of them, a majority of which are responses to fans. But what sets him apart?

Here are some examples:

Any clothes with Star Wars references? if so what?" Too many to tweet

breast milk (This was in a response to what his baby's favorite food is)

How long on the job would it take before being a hibachi chef gets boring?" Never if you could use a light saber to cut the food

He does ten minute question and answer sessions with fans about a certain topic (food, clothes, etc.) quite often.

So follow R.A. Dickey!

You're welcome, internet. Now let's just hope the Mets don't send him down to Triple-A for no apparent reason. And no article on Dickey is complete without this:
