Heath Bell Not Traded According to Heath Bell

It appears Heath Bell is not going anywhere for the time being, at least according to Heath Bell himself. Several hours after the reported waiver claim the Giants had on him, the Padres closer tweeted this in response:

Not traded.

I am still trying to decipher the anagram, but one can only wonder its true meaning. If you have solved it, please post in the comments section.

In all seriousness, it looks like Heath Bell is staying put in San Diego and will not be moving up-state. A deal being struck for the closer was unlikely, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden, and the Giants more than likely made a claim to block the reliever from going to other contenders, such as the Arizona Diamondbacks.

A friendly reminder to readers, literally hundreds of players are placed on revocable waivers, including some of the games' best. Being placed on waivers doesn't necessarily mean the team is trying to trade you, but rather them just going through the motions and getting a feel of the market.
