Over at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Braves blog, David O'Brien offers up a few updates on the Braves' offseason. Here's the gist of it:
- The Braves are still in on Seth Smith, though the Rockies would obviously have to throw more into a package in exchange for Martin Prado or Jair Jurrjens.
- The Braves have some interest in Cody Ross, though they're waiting for him to lower his price tag.
- O'Brien is surprised about the Ryan Theriot rumor, as Atlanta needs someone who can handle shortstop well. He believes the interest was overstated.
- The team hasn't begun to discuss a contract extension with Michael Bourn, who is set to become a free agent at the end of this season.

"The Braves haven't signed a free agent or made a significant trade acquisition since the 2011 season ended. But they're still looking to do so."
