Now that Prince Fielder has finally signed, the free agent market is pretty thin. You could make an expensive investment in a guy like Yoenis Cespedes, or a run at Edwin Jackson, but it appears most teams are done making moves and going bargain shopping. Let's take a look at the latest minor moves...
- The Miami Marlins signed outfielder Austin Kearns to a minor league deal with a invite to spring training, the club announced in a press release (via Juan C. Rodriguez of the Sun-Sentinel).
- The Tampa Bay Rays signed right-handed pitcher Bryan Augenstein, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. It's a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.
- Tampa Bay also made another move, designating outfielder Justin Ruggiano for assignment, again, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. The move was made to make room on the 40-man roster for newly signed free agent Carlos Pena.
