Brewers, Greinke, Open to Extension

According to Adam McCalvy from MLB.com, the Milwaukee Brewers and right handed pitcher Zack Greinke are open to an extension. Greinke is in the final year of the four year contract extension he signed with the Kansas City Royals in 2008.

Asked about a possible extension, Greinke said, "I’ll talk to them about it. I don’t really want to talk to anyone else about it. But I like the business of baseball. It’s exciting for me. It’s not like I plan on being my agent, but it is exciting being able to know what’s going on behind the scenes."

Greinke is currently without an agent, but that does not mean that he will not negotiate with the Brewers. He said that he is open to talking with the Brewers about it, but it does not mean he will serve as his own agency and he is open to finding a new one. He left CAA last spring.
