After an ownership and front office change, it's safe to say the Houston Astros are changing things up. But one thing that isn't changing is their team name, new owner Jim Crane said in a video message to season ticket holders (via Alyson Footer, the Astros Senior Director of Social Media).
The idea of a potential name change was brought up last week, but I for one am glad they shut down that idea.
"One thing that we are not going to change is the name. We received strong feedback and consensus among season ticket holders and many fans, and we will not change the name Astros. The Houston Astros are here to stay."
