The Cleveland Indians have acquired utility man Russ Canzler from the Tampa Bay Rays for cash, according to Jordan Bastian of mlb.com. Bastian notes that he plays the corners, both infield and outfield, and is a right-handed bat.
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times notes that Canzler didn't really have a spot on the roster after the Rays moved him for recently-acquired Jeff Keppinger:
