Yoenis Cespedes Likely to Visit Miami Marlins Soon

Yoenis Cespedes is likely to visit with the Miami Marlins over the next week, according to Ken Rosenthal. The Chicago Cubs and "others" remain interested, adds Rosenthal.

Cespedes is the Cuban defector that made a splash on the off-season market with a clever but bizarre youtube video featuring Christopher Cross (saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaailling, I'm saaaaaaaaaaailing) and was only recently declared a free agent after establishing residency in the Domincan Republic. He remains one of several big names (Oswalt, Jackson) that are still available.

Cuban defector Yoenis Cespedes has now been declared a free agent after establishing residency in the Domincan Republic, according to Ben Badler of Baseball America. This is the last step required before the many rumored teams interested in Cespedes are allowed to bid on him, so expect those rumors to heat up shortly.
