The San Diego Padres announced this evening that they have agreed to a one year deal with right handed pitcher Dustin Moseley. The terms of the deal have not yet been released via the team.
Moseley joined the Padres in 2011 after seasons with the New York Yankees and Anaheim Angles, and should be relied on more this season with Mat Latos being traded to the Cincinnati Reds. He pitched 120 innings last year after having season ending left shoulder surgery in August.
The Padres now have all of their 2012 arbitration eligible players under contract with this signing. Two seasons ago the Padres saw a rise, almost winning their division but lost to the San Francisco Giants on the last day of the season. They then fell back down in the standings again in 2011. They seem to be in rebuilding mode again trading away Latos and first baseman Anthony Rizzo.
