YES Network's Jack Curry cleared up and dished a few of his own rumors on the latest New York Yankees happenings, including what it will take to acquire Matt Garza and clearing up the team's interest in Edwin Jackson and Hiroyuki Nakajima...

  • Though the Yankees are interested in Chicago Cubs starter Matt Garza, the team isn't looking to meet their asking price. According to Curry, the Cubs are asking the Yankees to part with top prospects Jesus Montero and either Manny Banuelos or Dellin Betances.
  • Another pitcher the Yankees have been linked to is free-agent Edwin Jackson, who is reportedly seeking $15-$17 million annually; and, I'm sure he's also looking for a no-trade clause. However, the Yankees haven't even held talks with Jackson's representatives, according to Curry, and he doesn't expect that to change unless the asking price comes down.

  • Friday is the deadline for the Yankees to sign Japanese infielder Hiroyuki Nakajima, but the chances seem very slim at this point. And unless Nakajima is looking to take a one-year deal, Curry doesn't expect the two sides to come to terms.
