After signing Matt Capps as the team's closer, the Minnesota Twins aren't close to being done with their bullpen. According to Phil Mackey of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities, the Twins have spoken with free-agent reliever Dan Wheeler; however, one major league source tells Mackey the Twins have "a couple" pitchers higher up on their list.
"The Pittsburgh Pirates have recently shown interest in the right-hander, but one baseball person indicated GM Neal Huntington is not currently prepared to offer a guaranteed major league contract."
The team could also have interest in relievers Chad Qualls and Scott Linebrink, both are likely to receive major league deals. Another interesting name that could be in play for the Twins is Joel Zumaya, who is coming off major arm surgery. The Twins were in attendance for Zumaya's bullpen session last month.
