Baseball America's Matt Eddy and Baseball Prospectus' Kevin Goldstein reported a ton of signings throughout the day yesterday. Since we couldn't get to them all, I used some down time to organize the signings division-by-division; without further ado, let's check out the AL West signings...
- The Angels were the least active in minor league signings front in the AL West, only signing former first-round pick Eric Hurley to a minor league pact, reports Kevin Goldstein.
- The Oakland Athletics signed a trio of relievers to minor league deals, reports Matt Eddy, in right-handed pitchers Travis Schlicting and Merkin Valdez and southpaw Fabio Castro.
- Japanese shortstop Munenori Kawasaki signed a minor league deal with the Seattle Mariners, reports Matt Eddy. The 30-year-old shortstop hit .267/.310/.327 with 31 stolen bases last season in Japan.
- Like the Angels, the Texas Rangers only made one move as well by signing Jon Edwards, reports Matt Eddy. Edwards converted from the outfield to a right-handed reliever last season.
