AL East Minor League Signings: Yankees Sign Three, Blue Jays Sign Two

Baseball America's Matt Eddy and Baseball Prospectus' Kevin Goldstein reported a ton of signings throughout the day yesterday. Since we couldn't get to them all, I used some down time to organize the signings division-by-division; without further ado, let's check out the AL East signings...

  • The Toronto Blue Jays signed right-handed pitcher Stephen Marek to a minor league deal, reports Kevin Goldstein.
  • Toronto also signed former Giants shortstop Brian Bocock to a minor league pact, reports Kevin Goldstein.
  • The New York Yankees also made notable minor league signings of their own, by bringing on right-handed pitcher Adam Miller and outfielders Cole Garner and Dewayne Wise, reports Matt Eddy.
  • Baseball America's John Manuel says there have been reports Adam Miller has hit 95-96 MPH at times this season, though there are injury concerns.
  • Dewayne Wise joins yet another organization, this time with the New York Yankees, hoping to crack the team as a backup outfielder.
