The crack of a bat.
The roar of the crowd.
The warmth of the summer sun.
These are just a few of the reasons that MLB and baseball games in general are so popular to attend in person.
My team’s the Baltimore Orioles, and to me you can’t beat a Sunday afternoon at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The B&O Warehouse in the background and the smell of Boog’s in the air are just a few of the unique experiences that have me coming back year after year.
While it’s generally understood that a Major League Baseball game is an enjoyable night/afternoon out, the league doesn’t seem to do as well as the NFL when it comes to the television experience. Likewise, MLB seems to present a product that people in general would rather frequent in person than a National Football league game.
So why do you think the NFL is such a superior product on TV, while baseball is still viewed as being a better experience in person?
