It’s been a rough past few seasons for Cleveland fans. The Browns have been the Browns. We all know about the Lebron James situation.

The Indians have had arguably the most success of any of the three major sports teams, but that’s not saying much.

It was another disappointing season for the Tribe in 2012, as they finished fourth in the American League Central with a record of 68-94. This led to the firing of manager Manny Acta which resulted in one of the more exciting moments in Cleveland sports for some time; the hiring of Terry Francona.

Though he was drafted in the first round of the 1980 MLB Draft by the Expos and spent a majority of his professional career in Montreal, Francona played one season with the Indians. It wasn’t overly memorable statistics-wise, he hit .311/.324/.363 over 212 at-bats, but his father played in Cleveland and Francona had previous ties to the city.

He joins a team with many question marks. Three of their longest tenured players, Grady Sizemore, Travis Hafner and Shin-Soo Choo, may not be with the club in 2013. After their recent campaign many have doubts about the team’s starting rotation and bullpen.

Francona won two World Series Championships as manager of the Boston Red Sox. Do you think he’ll win a ring with the Indians?
