Can the Yankees come back against the Tigers?

Can the Yankees erase a 2-0 series deficit and advance to the World Series?

The New York Yankees are set to take on the Detroit Tigers tonight at Comerica Park. Not only did the team lose the first two games of the American League Championship Series, but they did so at home and now must face the Tigers in Detroit.

To make matters worse, the Tigers top two starters haven’t thrown a pitch yet this series. Ace Justin Verlander will take the hill tonight while Max Scherzer is scheduled to pitch Game 4.

After finishing the regular season second in the majors in runs scored, the Yankees offense has struggled mightily during the playoffs. The team has scored 20 runs over seven contests, two less than the Cincinnati Reds scored in five games.

One ray of hope for the Yankees is that if they are able to win tonight they will have their ace C.C. Sabathia starting Game 4 with an opportunity to even the series.

Still, with Verlander taking the mound tonight and the Yankees recent struggles at the plate, is there any way New York wins this best-of-seven series?
